The Gift of Challenge
This morning I woke up late for Sadhana. I rushed through my shower to get to the Ashram before the chanting was finished. Yet, when I arrived, the yoga set had not even started. Great! I concluded that we were all late this morning. It was not until the very end of Sadhana that I realized it was daylight-savings time. The clocks had been turned back one hour at midnight and I had only been 15 minutes late. I was feeling quite grateful for this gift of the group Sadhana that was not missed.
Reflecting on my meditation, I want most to share with you how important it is to have a strong, daily practice of yoga/meditation that gives you a day of glandular and emotional strength. A meditative practice effectively carries you beyond the gale winds of fear to your own center of well being and expansion.
Yogi Bhajan has been the only person I've known (besides my husband) who always welcomed the challenges for the opportunities and expansion that it offers. "Have a nice day" was not his mantra. Blessing, gratitude and Kundalini Yoga were his gifts given to us for THESE VERY TIMES WE ARE IN NOW!
My offerings of this month are for supporting your meditative practice. The MANGALA CHARAN CD is powerful for overcoming negativity and depression. It contains a kriya for building your intuition during moments of great challenge. On IGNITE YOUR LIGHT, there are two pranayams (or breath meditations): "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo" to connect you with guidance and "Wahe Guru" for expansiveness. These words are my gift to you for your challenging moments. You will uplift others through your songs and through your smiles.
Blessings

WORKSHOPS
November 13th 7:00pm - 9:00pm The Song of Nanak with SatKirin Kaur Khalsa Cost: $25/adv or $30/day of
Dissolve depression and remove the obstacles to your divine intuitive voice with The Song of Nanak.
The great Guru of the Aquarian Age was incarnated in his life as Guru Nanak in 1569 in Northern India. Sharing the universal creative sound current of song, he traveled on foot over 3 continents, teaching all. We will learn to sing and meditate on the 33rd Pauri of his epic poem JAP JI, in the morning Raga (melody) of Bhairav.
Through this meditation, we will balance mentally, physically and spiritually, and access the vastness directly beyond our ego and our negativity. We will work to trigger that awareness of the eternal flow of spirit that balances us and enables us to be free of our self-destructive nature and to serve with a graceful balance. More information

IGNITE YOUR LIGHT musical meditation for beginners
Here we have electronic music, dance rhythms and angelic high pitched vocals in Western Classical style with 3 meditations for BEGINNERS, a tune in and the LONG TIME SUNSHINE SONG. I created this CD for assisting teachers in leading Yoga classes and for all my family members, work associates & friends who are not doing meditation. Now, they have no excuse. This is a great track to accompany your life. 3 -11 minute meditations: Ong Namo Guru Deva, Pavana Pavana, pranayam on WAHE GURU Buy now

MANGALA CHARAN of Jaap Sahib
The sound is VERY catchy and techno in flavor but very happy and engaging. The voice of Yogi Bhajan is commanding and takes the listener into a deep quest of God consciousness. One of my best sellers!
The music is mostly rhythmic accompaniment (drums and percussion) and repeated recitation of the opening prayer/invocation or salutation to the Infinite called a "Mangala Charan". It was created for the teaching module I did for the Jaap Sahib course taught June 19th, 2006 in New Mexico, USA. CD music runs for 62 minutes. The Kriya or meditation that is included in the package gives a great way to develop a daily meditative practice and deepen one's intuition. Buy now
